This beautifully restored apartment is on the first floor of a Casa Padronale, an old stone Umbrian farmhouse, dating back to the late 1700s. It is situated on a hillside in the Upper Tiber Valley with stunning 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside and valleys. The nearest village is Calzolaro, just a 5 minute drive away, and Trestina, a busy town with shops and restaurants, is 10 minutes drive. The house is surrounded by a hectare of land, with an olive grove, fruit and walnut trees. Guests have use of the grounds and there is also terrace in the gardens with table, chairs and sun loungers. The interiors have been renovated very tastefully to a high standard and many original features have been retained, including ancient chestnut and oak beams, original terracotta floor tiles and a fantastic 300 year old stone fireplace in the living room. There are two very comfortable double bedrooms, both with beautiful views, and en-suite modern, luxuriously fitted bathrooms. A great base for one or two couples, wanting to explore this stunning and unspoilt region.
