The Bahamas has long been renowned for its crystal clear waters, temperate winters, lush vegetation and pristine beaches, all of which have attracted tourists and second home owners from Europe and America for many years. 

The island of New Providence is home to the capital, Nassau, as well as being the gateway to the other islands which make up the Bahamas.  Its  international airport welcomes many international airlines, including British Airways, American, Virgin, Jet Blue, Delta and Continental.  As well as a charming historic centre with colonial buildings, Nassau offers museums and art galleries, a great night life, casinos, duty free shopping and the largest straw market in the Caribbean.  The resort areas are Cable Beach to the West, and Paradise Island to the north, connected to Nassau by two bridges, and known for its superb beaches and golf courses. 

Ten minutes drive from Nassau International Airport, Old Fort Bay is a prestigious gated waterfront community located on the picturesque western coastline of New Providence. This development is particularly appealing to boaters as most properties are canal-front. Mangroves within the canals and creeks have been preserved to create a more natural feel to this beautiful community. For boaters, day trips can be taken to the Exuma chain of islands or  Rose Island, or a day trip by plane or ferry can also be taken to charming Harbour Island.
