This very spacious Andalucian ‘cortijo’ sits in an idyllic rural location, in a valley, with wonderful views of the Grazalema National Park. Surrounded by seven acres of attractive gardens, with an abundance of fruit trees, and a horse paddock, it offers a peaceful and relaxing base from which to enjoy the many attractions of this part of southern Spain. Ronda is just a five minute drive away, and Jerez, Seville and Malaga are all about one and a half hours drive. Visits can be made to the coast, or nearby lakes, to Granada, or to the picturesque ‘pueblos blancos’ (white villages) to be found in this region.
Recently restored, the house has been decorated and furnished to a high standard, yet retains its original character. The large rooms ensure that it is cool during the summer months and, with underfloor heating and log fires, it remains warm and cosy in winter. King-size beds, white cotton sheets, big bathrobes and towels, large baths and showers create a feeling of comfort and relaxation. There is an extensive library of books, Bose Wave music machines, and wi-fi throughout the house for those who need to use their laptops. The rooms open to a shady colonnade on one side and a very private courtyard with trees and fountains on the other. Comfortable hammocks provide a quiet refuge for relaxing out of the sun. The pool area is set a little away from the house, with shower, bar and outdoor dining area.
Activities which can be arranged during your stay include walks and picnics, riding, skiing, paragliding, hot air ballooning, tennis and golf. The owners can recommend good local restaurants and tapas bars, and give advice regarding local attractions, including the Feria de Pedro Romero with its bullfights in Ronda in September, the annual crossing of the Guadalquivir River, olive oil pressings, or having a flamenco evening arranged. The property is also ideal for special events, themed weekends, Andalucian cooking courses and family celebrations. Without many steps, it is safe for children, and for those who are less mobile. Extra services which can be arranged include meeting guests at the airport, organising a car and driver, local guides, arranging catering, massage or yoga and babysitting. Out of season, the property can be rented for a minimum two nights.

It is ideal as an annexe for teenagers, or those who wish to be more private, or for staff.
