This villa has been very imaginatively converted from a ‘masia’ (typical Catalan country house) dating from 1776. It is situated in the in the centre of the village of Seva, within the Montseny nature reserve, a UNESCO reserve offering both peace and outstanding beauty. There are beautiful views from the house over the nature reserve. The village of Brull with its Romanesque church is just a 5 minute drive away and Vic, with a Romanesque museum, cathedral and temple is 10 minutes away. Barcelona is a 50 minute drive and the coast of the Costa Brava, approximately one hour. Although there are some shops and restaurants within walking distance, a hire car is recommended to explore the many attractions of the area. The whole region (Osona) has more than ten Romanesque art routes within a 20 mile radius of the house, and the area is also well known for its gastronomy, including truffles and mushrooms. It is also possible to go hiking in the nature reserve on marked trails, or there is a horse riding available at 8 kms, two golf courses and a spa within a few minutes’ drive, and other facilities, including tennis and football within the town. Bicycle hire can also be arranged. Restored in 2007, the house combines traditional architecture and contemporary design.
