This stylish, architect-designed property is situated at the heart of the Algarve, near Albufeira, and a short walk from Praia da Galé, one of the best family beaches in the area. Also within walking distance are Vila Joya, Portugal’s only Michelin 2-star restaurant and the Hotel da Galé Spa. A little further on is Salgados, which with its dunes and lagoon, is another stunning beach with great amenities.
With its large spacious rooms and windows, the villa is very light and the rooms open to wooden verandas. Wooden floors throughout, contemporary furnishings, natural textures and colours, and modern art, result in a very relaxed tropical style. The first floor has a mezzanine living room, over the dining room, and the master bedroom has garden and sea views. On the lower ground floor there is a spacious playroom, designed to benefit from the light which comes through a glass wall looking out to the swimming pool. The playroom has satellite TV and DVD player and the living room has wide screen TV, DVD and music system. The master bedroom also has a TV. The living room has ceiling fans and there is central heating/air conditioning included in the rental price.
The villa is surrounded by a large lawned area with a rock garden and lined by palm trees. Within the garden is a swimming pool (12.5 x 4m, ladder access) and a tennis court (tennis equipment not supplied and guests must wear non-marking shoes). The pool is heated by solar panels and has a cover. Entrance to the property is by electric gates with videophone. Because of steep staircases between floors, and a drop from one side of the swimming pool, it is not an ideal property for toddlers.
