Fairway View Cabin sits on the northern edge of the gorgeous private community of 3 Creek Ranch. It is a handsome, contemporary Western house, a quintessential 3 Creek retreat. At the centre of Fairway View is a two-story living room with a spacious dining and kitchen wing to one side and a big bedroom wing to the other. The house is elegant, yet welcoming and warm, and windows make the most of the extraordinary views.
Fairway View’s front door opens to the central living room and the kitchen and dining area. A huge, double-sided, wood-burning stone fireplace with cast iron fire screens and thick stone mantles separates the two spaces. Windows wrap around the sitting, dining and kitchen area, and a vaulted wood ceiling rises overhead.
Right next to the fireplace is a formal dining table, while the sitting area and the kitchen anchor opposite ends of this wing. The kitchen itself is a destination: roomy and professionally equipped, with a step-in pantry, a Viking range, and two prep sinks. A stone-topped breakfast bar, overhung by twin iron chandeliers, makes an ideal spot for quick sandwiches or cocktails.
In the sitting area, soft upholstered armchairs and a couch look towards the fire, the wide-open views outdoors and a vast flat-screen TV. On the other side of the fireplace is the living room, where two sets of French doors lead out to a stone terrace.
Fairway View Cabin has four bedrooms –the master suite on the first floor, and three bedrooms on the second, all with private baths. The master bedroom is decidedly grand – painted a deep, glowing copper, with a wood ceiling overhead. A television is concealed in a cupboard, and French doors open onto the terrace and lawn. Looking out from the king-size bed, you can see the mountains and the valley. The master bath has a soaking tub, a separate shower and double sinks. Across the hallway from the bathroom is a spacious walk-in closet.
A big open staircase climbs past a picture window to the second floor, to a wide landing with a sitting area. Three spacious, light-filled bedrooms are just off landing; the first is set over the master bedroom and shares the same layout. This is a large room, with a step-out balcony, a writing desk, a walk-in closet and a big private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a windowed alcove with a view of the mountains, and the third has three twin beds.
Along the front of Fairway View Cabin is a long porch, from which you can admire the glorious span of 3 Creek Ranch: 710 acres of wild rangeland and a fantastic golf, tennis and swim club for members only, surrounded by five mountain ranges – all just a five minute drive from downtown Jackson. Three wide, clear, blue-ribbon creeks wind through the property, making it heaven on earth for anglers; the proximity to Teton Village’s epic slopes and the endless cross country terrain right outside Fairway View’s door make the setting just as alluring to skiers.
