The all year round resort of Queenstwn is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, in a spectacularly beautiful alpine setting with the dramatic mountain range, The Remarkables, as a backdrop. The area is the centre of one of the world’s finest adventure and ecotourism regions. The many activities available here include skiing at renowned Coronet Peak, walking, horse riding, fishing, jet boating, canoeing, parapenting, mountain biking and golf. The town offers a good selection of shops and numerous restaurants, serving fresh New Zealand and Pacific delicacies and wines. Special interest tours can be arranged to nearby vineyards to sample award winning local wines, visits to gardens, the quaint historic gold mining town of Arrowtown, or the breathtakingly beautiful fiordland and Milford Sound.
Situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of Queenstown, Brunswick Lodge offers peace, privacy and comfort from its idyllic location overlooking the lake and mountains. Constructed to the highest of standards with use of local stone and heavy timbers, it is one of four architecturally award winning apartments. Access is through large cedar entry gates into a private courtyard and alpine garden. A spa house with large Jacuzzi, shower and WC is available during the winter season, for use by all four apartments. The spacious interiors are informal, yet elegant, with local flagstone floors throughout, exposed beamed ceilings, antique furniture and wonderful lake views from the living/dining room, the terrace and two of the three bedrooms. Under floor heating and a log fire ensure warmth during the winter months. There is ample storage space, including a large drying room for ski gear.
The three bedrooms all have private bathrooms, provided with hairdryers, toiletries and bathrobes. There is a well equipped kitchen, open plan to the living/dining room, which opens to an outdoor dining terrace with barbecue. A business desk is equipped with DD phone/fax, and wireless modem for laptops. Further amenities include Sky digital TV, DVD, video and CD player. There is an electronic security system with intercom and secure garage parking for one large vehicle, accessed by remote control. Minimum stay is three nights.
