The New Zealand Villa Book
New Zealand
Destination Guide
A stay at one of our New Zealand villas offers a unique opportunity to experience this exceptionally beautiful country at first hand. With 18,000 kms of coastline and only 4 million people, visitors will find it is easy to get around and explore, and it is truly a country where many of the best natural treasures can often be discovered by just going a little off the beaten track. New Zealand’s impressive landscapes, volcanoes, remote hiking trails, lush forests, rivers with waterfalls and death-defying rapids, and wonderful surf beaches, make it a haven for many outdoor activities, and those in search of adventure will not be disappointed. We are offering several properties in or near Queenstown, in the South Island, an area of unsurpassed beauty and with so much to offer, ranging from a leisurely cruise on Lake Wakatipu with its breathtaking background of the snow-capped Remarkables’ mountain range, or a wine tour to sample Central Otago’s ever improving selection of wines to skiing at nearby Coronet Peak, fishing, golf and tramping. For the more daring, this area is unbeatable with activities including a ride down the rapids on the Shotover River, paragliding and bungy jumping. Further north, in the centre of the North Island, we have several lakeshore villas, one on Lake Tarawera, close to Rotorua, the centre of New Zealand’s geothermal activity. The famous Pohutu Geyser is but one of the many sights to see in this fascinating part of the country, with its volcanic lakes, giant forests and rich Maori culture. A little further south, the clear waters of Lake Taupo, with its renowned trout fishing, offers a base for exploring the landscapes of the volcanic plateau area with its spectacular mountains and river gorges, further geothermal walks and the waterfalls and rapids of the Waikato River. Further north still, we are offering an apartment in a coveted location in central Auckland, right in the heart of the recently reclaimed downtown wharf area, developed in 2002 as the America’s Cup Village. It is now a compound of plazas and promenades, luxury apartments and restaurants. Central Auckland is just a few minutes walk away as is the ferry building, with ferries and catamarans to the stunning outlying islands. One of these, Waiheke, is the home to another of our special properties. Here you can really unwind and enjoy island life in a totally unspoilt island setting. Enjoy walking, visiting beaches, horse riding or a meal at one of the island’s famed wine estates, most of which also offer wine tours and tastings. The numerous attractions are too many to list here. You might like to investigate further on www.newzealand.com. or e-mail us. We will be happy to give personal recommendations to any potential travellers.
