Located to the front of the 14th hole of the Amelkis Golf resort, Dar Selma is a lovely villa, designed by the architect Charles Boccara. The Amelkis golf resort is one of the most exclusive private resorts in Marrakesh with 24 hours gated security access. As well as views over the golf course, the villa also faces the snow-covered Atlas mountains.
Surrounded by 540 square metres of land, Dar Selma is inspired from the pure traditional Moroccan architecture. At the entrance of the property, the central courtyard opens onto the main living room, leading out the other side to the garden and the golf course. The courtyard has a bassin with aquatic plants, and on the sides, There are alleyways shaded with sculpted cedar ceilings. The main living room has a chimney and a Moroccan area (Bhou), opening to the terrace and the garden.
The rooms are decorated in beige and ochre colours, with discreet touches of Moroccan craftwork, such as Bejmat and Zellijes. Most of the walls are decorated with Tadelakt, a hand made marble like surface. All three bedrooms are spacious, air conditioned and have Takelakt on the walls. The spa occupies most of the lower ground floor, and has a steam room (hammam), a Turkish bath and a cloakroom. Within the garden is a very nice swimming pool, with teak sun beds and a wrought iron table.
