Dar Ksour must be one of Marrakech’s best kept secrets. Hidden away amidst the labyrinthine alleyways of the fashionable Laksour area of the Medina, this chic and cosy hideaway is only a short walk through the fascinating Souks to the Place Jemma el Fna square. Situated close to a trendy Branson-owned riad and the celebrated Tobsil restaurant, Dar Ksour makes an excellent base for exploring all the delights and sights of the ancient Medina.
This stylish riad combines both Moroccan design and Asian flair with contemporary European comforts. On the ground-floor a large, comfortable L-shape lounge opens onto a small interior patio, which leads into the dining room. The owner’s origins and love of the East are reflected in the stylish choice of design, works of art and contemporary furnishings - floor-to-ceiling windows create a feeling of space and light throughout the house.
A spiral staircase winds up to the two first-floor bedrooms and then continue up to a small roof terrace, where guests can relax and soak up some sunshine whilst admiring some spectacular views of the historic Koutoubia Mosque. The airy en suite master bedroom is stylishly decorated in oriental style, with ornately carved wooden furniture and has a wet room with shower. A smaller double bedroom has its own shower room which is accessed by a short flight of steps. Minimum stay 3 nights stays (except Christmas/New Year when minimum 5 nights required).
