This fabulous Riad, dating from the 18th Century, offers an oasis of peace and calm in the centre of Marrakech. Its unobtrusive entrance, through a simple door in a back street, gives no hint of the luxurious accommodation behind! Its convenient location means that it is just a few minutes walk from the souks and the Museum of Marrakech.
The interiors have been beautifully decorated and furnished, retaining traditional features and the atmosphere of an ancient residence. Entrance is into a spacious patio, and the large rooms and suites open to terraces. The dining and living areas are sheltered by tents. There is also a very comfortably furnished roof terrace with a jacuzzi, and views over the city, Koutubia, Palais de la Bahia and Atlas Mountains.. Meals and drinks can also be taken here. The property also has a pool and a hammam, and spa treatments are available on request.
The accommodation is in three spacious suites, each furnished with antiques and with a different colour scheme to reflect their names. The Red Suite has two bedrooms, a sitting room with fireplace and hand-painted wooden ceilings and two bathrooms. The Blue Room also has a sitting room with two bedrooms, one on either side of the sitting room and two bathrooms. The Orange Suite is laid out as a duplex, with the bedroom on the first floor, connected by a private staircase to the sitting room on the ground floor, which opens to the patio and pool. The Patio Suite, opens directly to the main patio. A new suite, the Mirror Suite, is opening shortly. Each suite has air conditioning, satellite TV and wi-fi internet access. Two extra beds can be added on request, allowing the riad to accommodate up to 16 people in total. Minimum stay is 4 nights, except for the Christmas/New Year period, when minimum stay is 5 nights.
