This beautiful farmhouse complex is situated just within Umbria, close to the borders with Tuscany and Lazio. From its hillside position it has 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside. The village of Allerona, 5 kms away, has basic shopping, and there is a supermarket at Allerona Scalo, 8 kms away. Fabro, 11 kms away has restaurants, shops and a castle, as well as access to the A1 autostrada. This allows for easy access to such destinations as the thermal spa of San Casciano dei Bagni, Orvieto, Lake Bolseno, Lake Trasimeno and Perugia. There are also horse riding stables approximately 5 kms from the property.
The farmhouse is comprised of two buildings connected by passages and terraces. It is divided into three apartments, each with independent access. Renovated in 2005, the apartments are tastefully furnished with a combination of antiques, comfortable sofas and quality furnishings. Casetta and Biancospino are on the ground floor, while More is on the first floor. Each apartment has satellite TV, videophones connected to the entrance gate and central heating. Most of the beds can be made up as double or single beds on request at time of booking. A baby cot and highchair are also available on request.
The large, fenced garden has a beautiful 14 x 7m swimming pool on a lower level, from where there are breathtaking views. There is a path leading down to the pool, wide enough for wheelchairs. The pool has hydro-massage and the surrounding sun terrace is furnished with plenty of sun loungers. There is also a shower and a built-in barbecue for shared guest use. There is a laundry room under the house, accessed by the maid only, and she will do laundry for a small fee. If a single group books all three apartments, a cook can be provided if requested with enough advance notice. The outdoor dining area at Biancospino has a large dining table which can easily seat up to 16 people.
