Situated on a hilltop near Gaiole in Chianti, this property has wonderful views over the surrounding countryside of woodlands and vineyards, and the castles of Tornano and Lecchi. Access to the property is by an unsealed road, not suitable for very low-slung vehicles. There is covered parking close to the house. Our other property, Moci di Sopra, is a little further up this road, so these properties could be an attractive option for two families or groups of friends wanting to be close by to each other.
The house is surrounded by a large garden with swimming pool (12 x 6m) and a lawned area furnished with deckchairs and umbrella. The entrance to the house is via a paved courtyard to the front which has two covered dining areas and a barbecue. Across the courtyard is a low building which has a bathroom with shower and a washing machine.
The well furnished rooms have typical Tuscan features of cotto floors, exposed beamed ceilings and white-washed walls. The main house has 4 bedrooms and there is an independent bedroom suite at ground floor level, near the steps to the pool. This remains closed unless the property is rented for 10 people. Amenities include a barbecue, satellite TV with DVD, CD player, babycot and high chair. Central heating is charged extra.
