Il Fiocco is a really delightful small stone farmhouse, dating from 1592, and situated on the outskirts of the Chianti village of Lecchi. It sits in a beautiful position with views over the surrounding countryside of vineyards and olive groves. Quiet and peaceful, it is an idyllic base for a honeymoon.
The partially fenced in grounds consist mainly of olive groves and there is also a lovely swimming pool (12 x 6m), and outdoor shower. There is a very pretty covered outdoor dining area by the entrance to the house and another covered terrace, also with dining area off the kitchen. To the side of the house is a wood burning oven for baking bread and pizza, and a built-in barbecue.
The rooms have typical Tuscan wood beamed ceilings, cotto floors and whitewashed or exposed brick walls. They are very tastefully furnished with some antique pieces. Central heating and wood for the fireplace and oven, as well as electricity, are payable on consumption. Amenities include satellite television, stereo CD player and washing machine. Horses can be hired nearby.
