This lovely stone-built farmhouse is located in a beautiful position, in the hills of Lucca near the village of Matraia. From both the house and the swimming pool there are breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside of olive groves and vineyards, as far as the town of Lucca in the distance.
This part of the Luccan countryside is famous for its beautiful historical villas. In particular, very close to Giannello, is the Villa Reale, where Elisa Bonaparte, Napoleon’s sister and Princess of Lucca once resided.
Giannello has been tastefully restored in a nice rustic style, retaining the old beamed ceilings and antique terracotta floors in most of the rooms. The large terrace at the front of the house is ideal for dining outdoors in the beautiful surroundings. Cooking services can be arranged upon request for the guests of the property.
