Certosina is a charming, traditional stone villa, close to Gaiole in Chianti, and surrounded by vineyards and woods. Built into the side of a hill, the property is on several levels, each with spacious terraces and benefitting from the wonderful views. It is at the heart of an agricultural estate producing organic wine and extra virgin olive oil, which can be purchased by guests.
The main entrance to the villa is from the parking area, down a few steps to a beautiful pergola covered terrace, furnished for dining outdoors. A pathway leads from this terrace to another furnished sun terrace, with a large umbrella and barbecue, overlooking the swimming pool on a lower level. A flight of stairs leads down from here to a separate bedroom suite, then further down to the oval swimming pool (10 x 5m), in a fantastic position with views over the countryside.
The rooms are very comfortably furnished in a traditional Tuscan style. All the bedrooms on the first floor have mosquito screens on the windows and further amenities include satellite television, VHS, stereo CD player and telephone. There is a baby cot on request. Central heating and firewood are charged extra. Please note that access to the bedroom down the stairs near the pool is not suitable for young children or the very elderly.

Spacious bathroom with bath and shower. Twin bedroom. Twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath and shower), and opening to a furnished terrace. The beds in this room can be made up as a double bed on request. Double bedroom (small French double bed).
