This very pretty renovated barn, dating from the 1200s, is situated just three kilometres from the centre of Siena. There is a bus stop with a regular service to Siena 300 metres from the property. From its hilltop position there are views over the surrounding countryside to Siena. It is a private and quiet location, ideally suited for a honeymoon. Quite separate from the barn is the farmhouse where the owner lives, and also the caretakers, who are happy to provide maid service on request.
The beautiful 14 x 7m swimming pool is shared with the owners, who also have two very sweet dogs who roam the grounds. Access to the property is by a private road with two electric security gates. A covered car park between the main house and the barn has car parking space for guests.
The front of the barn has two circular pillars, evidence of its ancient origins and carefully retained during the renovation work, along with other traditional features, including the high beamed ceilings. Glass doors on both sides of the living room open to private terraces, furnished for dining or relaxing outdoors. The rooms are very light and beautifully furnished to a high standard. Amenities include satellite television, DVD, telephone, central heating, washing machine and barbecue. The owner has requested no children, except infants, under the age of 10 years. A baby cot is available.
