This apartment is situated Piazza Mattei, in one of the most beautiful palaces in central Rome. Dating back to the 16th century, its stunning common areas have been decorated by artists such as Lanfranco, Domenichino and Guercino, and its inner courtyard is absolutely amazing. Just in front of the building there is a small but very important fountain called the ‘Fountain of the Turtles’, designed by Giacomo della Porta in 1585. This is a unique and special location to stay in Rome. It is a perfect base for exploring the city centre by day and, by night, it is easy to find good restaurants and bars. Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Campo dei Fiori are all within five minutes walk.
