This wonderful property is located in Giurdignano, a very small village of just 1000 inhabitants, surrounded by beautiful countryside with olive groves, just 6 kms away from the sea at Otranto. The area is famous for the presence of Megalitic monuments referred to as Dolmen or Menhir found in the archaeological site of “Le Centoporte", as well as several crypts, of which the most famous is that of the church of San Salvatore, and two Hipogean tombs dating back to the Eneolitic period (II millennium B.C.).
Masseria Bianco is situated in the centre of the village, next to the lovely piazza, and within walking distance of coffee bars and restaurants. It is just a 5-10 minute drive away from the port and beaches of Otranto. Boat rentals are available upon request.
A typical, country style villa, it incorporates the charm and traditions of the Apulina-building style. Originally a Salentino Palazzo dating back to 1762, it features vaulted-ceilings and four large fireplaces. The rooms open to Arabian style courtyards, one of which has a nice swimming pool.
