This exceptional holiday property is a 12th century Benedictine monastery, in a breathtaking 12 acre setting, in the beautiful Apennine Mountains, close to the small town of Apecchio in Le Marche, not far from the borders with Tuscany and Umbria. Delightful walled Renaissance and Medieval towns, such as Urbino or Gubbio, can easily be visited on a half day excursion, while other renowned historic towns, including Assisi, Perugia and San Marino are well within an easy day trip. For opera lovers, there is the Rossini Opera Festival at Pesaro and the famous open air festival in Macerata. The nearest airport, Ancona, is approximately an hour away.
The property has been recently restored very sympathetically into a luxury home by local craftsmen and builders using original materials. Perfect for a family holiday, where both children and adults will have the freedom to relax and enjoy themselves, the property is equipped with many facilities for young children. These include a fence around the swimming pool, a paddling pool, two travel stair-gates, a cot, high chair and children’s books, toys and DVDs. The property also has much to offer outside the summer months with its heated pool, nearby hiking and mountain biking trails, the truffle season in the autumn, and skiing on Monte Nerone, a 20 minute drive away, during the winter.
