This beautiful, recently restored villa was originally a hunting lodge, built in 1672 by a Tuscan nobleman, who used to stay here while hunting in the Marche region. Situated on a hillside, there are views over the surrounding countryside. The towns of S. Ippolito and Barchi, 5 kms away, have small supermarkets and shops, and there is a typical local restaurant just 3.5 kms from the property. There is also an ‘agriturismo’ 2.5 kms away which offers wonderful local cooking and will do a catering service for the villa on request. The city of Fano is 22 kms away and the coast, 23 kms. Ancona Airport is just an hour’s drive away. Close to the property, there are facilities for tennis, golf and horse riding.
The villa is surrounded by a well maintained garden, with many trees, shrubs and flowering plants. There is a swimming pool (12 x 6m), with a natural filtering system, surrounded by a terrace furnished with teak sun loungers. There is also a shower by the pool. In the garden to the rear of the villa, two symmetrical staircases lead down to a dining area with barbecue and stone table and benches. A wall between the two staircases features a beautiful working fountain.
The rooms are very spacious, with use of local stone, cotto floors, exposed beamed ceilings, and comfortably furnished throughout with many solid oak pieces. The windows all have shutters.
