This beautiful property, designed by a famous architect, was completed in 2003. It sits on a hill with wonderful views over the hills and valleys of the Sabina region, near Rome. The closest town for shopping is Cantalupo in Sabina, 2 kms away, with supermarket, shops, restaurants and banks. The train station, Poggio Mirteto Scalo, 7 kms away, is the metropolitan line which connects Fiumicino Airport to Roma Tiburtina station. The location is perfect for visiting the areas of natural, historical, artistic and archaeological interest in the area, including Monte Soratte, Civita Castellan, Terni, Viterbo, Lake Bracciano and Orvieto. A short distance from the property, horse riding and golf are available.
The villa has been built on the ruins of settlement dating back to 130 AD, and there is evidence of Roman remains around the property. The owner’s villa is on the same large estate, but has a separate entrance so in no way intrudes on guests’ privacy. The estate is filled with olive groves and the excellent DOP extra virgin olive oil is available for sale. In front of the villa is a swimming pool (6 x 12m), in a beautiful location to take advantage of the countryside views.
Access to the villa is through a covered terrace furnished with outdoor dining area. From here doors open into an elegant living/dining room with antique fireplace. The floors throughout the villa are handmade cotto tiles and the ceilings have exposed ceiling beams, which have been painted white in some parts of the house. The hallways have wood panelling. The rooms are decorated and furnished generally to a high standard, including beautiful fabrics and hand painted tiles. All the windows have mosquito screens. Amenities include air conditioning, satellite TV and CD hi-fi system. Please note that, because of air conditioning, the owner will meter the electricity and include 200 kws in the rental price. Any extra charges are payable locally at the end of the stay. The property has a built-in barbecue.

Obligatory maid service Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for 2 hours each day, payable locally on arrival (€200 per week). Linen is changed on Saturdays and once during the week. A cook is available, if requested at time of booking. A chauffeur is also available if booked well in advance of travel.
