The quiet village of Limonta is 200 yards away and from here you can take a bus to Bellagio. A further 100 yards will bring you to the ferry stop from where you can use the public boats to explore the beautiful lakeside towns , villages, villas and gardens. We would still recommend car hire as the bus service stops in the evening, and the local boat service is spread out throughout the day (not an hourly service), but it would not be necessary to use the car all the time. There is a local trattoria just 7 minutes walk from the property and, Vassena , a 5 minute drive away , has two good restaurants.
The accommodation is on three floors and the interiors have been furnished simply, yet very comfortably, with several antique pieces. The terrace, with lake views, is ideal for relaxed outdoor dining during the summer months, and the cosy living room with fireplace is perfect for cooler evenings.
