This spectacular property went through a very recent, total renovation and now offers a small piece of paradise along the Amalfi Coast. Located in Praiano, it was originally owned by a noble Neapolitan Princess, who built the first structure of the villa at the beginning of the 1900’s. After being sold to a Chilean consulate, it then changed hands to a pair of famous designers, who owned the property from the 1980’s until recently. During this time, the villa hosted many famous figures, including Raquel Welch, Donna Karan, Julia Roberts, and Michael Keaton.
The villa, is situated approximately a two minute walk from the town’s main Duomo, then down 153 steps to the main, gated entrance. Arrival by sea is also possible, and there is private sea access, up a flight of 202 steps that take you from the beach to the pool deck. In fact, to get to the villa, via the Duomo of Praiano and the main Amalfi Coast road, all you need to do is follow signs to the beach. The gardens of the property cover about 33,000 square feet and there is a large, panoramic terrace at the front of the house, with an outdoor dining area overlooking the Amalfi Coast and Positano. This terrace leads to a second, panoramic terrace with large lounge chairs, small sofas, and coffee tables. The gardens and terraces, filled with flowering plants, surround the villa, and there is also a pool deck, with light-bulb shaped pool. Off the pool deck is the tower, which also has a large terrace area to its side. A full spa is currently being built at the villa (please ask about this when enquiring, to check that renovations are finished), and this includes a four person Jacuzzi, a small gym, a Turkish bath, sauna, and a massage table.
Entrance into the property is into a small study where there is a laptop lat guests’ disposal (wi-fi internet access throughout). he living room, with 17 ft high ceilings, is furnished in white, and opens a large terrace. Amenities include air conditioning (except for Tower apartment where a portable unit is available), satellite TV throughout, DVD in the living room and stereo CD players in all bedrooms. There are three bedrooms available in the main villa and the remaining three bedrooms are all annexes; the pool suite, the tower, situated off the pool deck, and a beachfront apartment, 164 steps from the pool deck, and with its own terrace overlooking the beach. The apartment is 38 steps up from the beach, where there is a public bathing facility and a nice, seaside restaurant. Guests can rent umbrellas and beach lounge chairs and food can also be delivered from the restaurant and brought up to the main villa. Continental breakfast each morning is included in the price at this property (guests can have breakfast in their rooms, if required). Also included is one other meal per day (lunch or dinner). The property has both a pizza oven and a wine cellar (wine can be purchased here and paid for locally), and there is also a vegetable garden which supplies the kitchen with aubergines, salad, tomatoes, green peppers, zucchini, and chillis. Porter service is included in the price and a 24 hour concierge service is available.

Entrance/study. Large kitchen with two wooden dining tables, below large chandeliers. Kitchen equipment includes 6-range stovetop, oven, microwave and American coffee machine Living room with large, white sofas and fireplace, opening to terrace. Large double bedroom with fireplace, opening to terrace. Large bathroom with shower. There is a second bedroom here as well, but it is normally kept locked, as the owner prefers to rent to only 10 people at a time.
First Floor
2 master bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, and a large living room, with panoramic views. The first bedroom suite with queen-size bed, has white décor and large windows looking out over the Mediterranean and the Island of Capri. En-suite bathroom with bathtub, from which views over the coastline can be enjoyed, and separate WC. The second master bedroom, also with large double bed, has a separate sitting room with day bed (which can be used as a single bed) and access to a small terrace. Large en-suite bathroom with shower. Spacious living room with fireplace and wonderful views to the island of Capri and the town of Positano. A terrace off this living room is furnished as a small breakfast terrace with a ceramic table and chairs.
Pool Suite
Entrance through a small kitchen (with small refrigerator, sink, and two range stovetop) into the double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.
Tower
Entrance either directly from the garden or up a flight of 20 steps from the pool deck. The lower floor has a bathroom with shower, while the top floor has a double bed, sofa, and a working fireplace, as well as panoramic views.
Beachfront Apartment
