Situated right on the coast on the San Lorenzo peninsula between Sorrento and Positano, this beautiful villa has spectacular views over the ruins of a Roman tower, to the Mediterranean Sea and the Bay of Naples. The villa has full sunlight from 10 a.m. right through to early evening, when there are magnificent sunset views. The city of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the background is just across the bay, and the town of Massa Lubrense nearby, has all basic shops and a food market. There are also many restaurants in the vicinity of the property.
Boat hire can be organized locally to visit beaches, and boat trips to Capri (15 minutes by hydrofoil) can be arranged for day time or evening. There is a very small private beach just below the villa, but it is a steep climb, and an old path, so not suitable for small children. There are several more accessible nearby beaches within a 10 – 20 minute drive.
The villa is surrounded by gardens with lemon groves, olive trees, herbs and a wide variety of plants. A beautiful Florentine terracotta tile staircase leads down from the main entrance gate to the white stucco two-storey house with a large terrace offering a 180 degree view of the sea and the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida. A lovely garden path decorated with terracotta pots of flowers leads down further to a one-bedroom guesthouse. From the swimming pool (12 x 6m) and terrace, surrounded by olive trees, there are also stunning views of the sea and islands.
Every room has access to a terrace or balcony with sea views. There is no formal interior dining room and meals are taken on the terrace, shaded by an impressive old carob tree. Further amenities include television, radio/CD player, telephone and fax. There is heating and air-conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms and guest studio only, and fans are provided for downstairs rooms. There is parking space for up to three cars.
