Antiparos, separated from the larger island of Paros by a narrow channel, is known for its unspoilt natural beauty, whitewashed houses, small churches and golden, sandy beaches. Our property here is situated in Apentima, 100 metres from the sea, and 8 kms from the small, picturesque town of Kastro. Lively in high season, the town has a very attractive waterfront harbour with tavernas, bars, small supermarkets and shops. There are a number of lovely deserted beaches around the island, which are mainly sandy and some of which are only accessible by boat. The island hosts several festivals throughout the summer months, including the Festival of the patron saint, Agia Marina on 16th July, which includes food, wine, dancing and cultural events.
The accommodation consists of a 3 storey villa and a windmill which are connected by a huge terrace (500 m2) with a seawater swimming pool (10.5 x 5m). The terrace is furnished with sun loungers and has dining areas with barbecue, and a traditional outdoor oven, where you can even bake your own bread. There are wonderful sea views from the terraces and balconies of the villa, at every level, with areas for relaxing with a morning coffee, an evening drink or candlelit dinner under the stars.
The villa is built in traditional Cycladic style with whitewashed walls and blue doors and window frames, blending with white painted wooden furniture and beautiful Greek stone flooring. The windmill was originally real functioning windmill and its roof, with exposed wooden details, is visible from the charming master bedroom on the first floor. The villa is equipped with satellite TV, telephone, fax, stereo and fast internet access. All bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans and TVs. Because of unprotected terraces and stairs, the villa is best suited for children over the age of 5 years. There is private parking at the property.
