Crete offers much in the way of historical and archaeological interest, its monuments bearing witness to its stormy history, and including Roman ruins, secluded monasteries, Minoan cities, Byzantine chapels and Turkish minarets. Western Crete is also a paradise for walkers and hikers with a large network of ancient trails and shepherds’ paths. A little further afield, sights such as the famous Samaria Gorge, the Minoan Palace of Knossos, the fascinating Falasarna beach, the villages of the White Mountains and the rugged beaches of the South, can all be easily visited on day trips.
Designed in an innovative Mediterranean style, the villa offers a living space of 270 m2, with 110 m2 of terraces, within its own grounds of 7000 m2. The minimalist interior design and furnishings combine simplicity and luxury, with the use of pale wood and chrome, mixed with splashes of colour. Large floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the living areas on the main level open to terraces and the swimming pools. The living room is equipped with Bang & Olufsen stereo system, a collection of CD’s, satellite flat screen TV, DVD player, DVD library, PC and Printer and a games console - Playstation 3. There is an air conditioning system (heat & cooling) the living room and all bedrooms. The villa can comfortably accommodate 10 guests in 5 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and opening out to a balcony, terrace or patio, from which the lovely views can be enjoyed. All the bedrooms have satellite TVs (flat screen) and DVD players and all the beds can convert to twins (upon request). There are hairdryers provided in the bathrooms. Further amenities include wireless DSL internet connection, direct phone dial- incoming/local calls, a security alarm and safety deposit box.
Several large terraces and a lush garden surround the house, with both a main swimming pool (8 x11m, and 0.40m-1.90m deep, automatic night lighting), and a separate children’s pool (2.40x18m, 0.5m ). The poolside and garden offer both sunny and shady areas for relaxing spots and there is also an outdoor dining area under a wooden pergola. Guests will be met at Chania airport and shown the way to the villa, and a concierge is on hand to advise on shops, restaurants, beaches and other places of interest. Complimentary Korres bath products are provided and a basic welcome food basket awaits guests. Additional services which can be provided on request include a local cook to provide traditional Cretan meals, cooking lessons and massages in the privacy of your villa. Kitchen equipment includes a 4 - ring hob with oven, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and filter coffee machine. 3 double bedrooms with queen-size beds and en-suite bathrooms with shower. Each opens out to a patio with garden furniture.
First Floor
A few stairs lead up to the master bedroom, with king-size bed, a bathroom with hydro-massage and a large private terrace with spectacular views. A futon bed in this bedroom, can sleep two children if required.
Lower Level
Self contained guest-studio, with direct access by the garden area. It is a large open plan area with a king-size bed, a sitting corner, with a kitchenette corner and a fridge and has an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.
