This beautiful two storey, five bedroom house is situated in the village of Xghara in the north-east of the island, close to the famous Ggantija Temples, the oldest freestanding structures in the world, and the legendary cave of Calypso where legend has it that Ulysses spent 7 years. The village is delightful with life focused around its central piazza with its impressive church and various cafes and restaurants. Just off the main square, it is also possible to visit two small stalagmitic caves.
To one side of the house is a Mediterranean landscaped garden and terrace with a shaded dining area, barbecue and outdoor shower. There is a swimming pool (approximately 10 x 4m), surrounded by a furnished sun terrace with loungers and sun umbrella.
The accommodation is very spacious with some lovely traditional features including high arched stone ceilings in the open-plan downstairs living area and kitchen, and beamed ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms. The bedrooms are all twin beds, with two opening to balconies and one with views of the sea in the distance. Amenities include ceiling fans, mosquito nets on the windows and a television.
