This traditional farmhouse is tucked away in a quiet alley in the village of Nadur, the second largest village on the island, after Victoria. The busy central square has two banks, groceries, a pharmacy and local village market every Wednesday. The baroque church here dominates Nadur’s skyline and is one of Gozo’s best Baroque architectural masterpieces. Interesting places of cultural interest to visit nearby include the Kenuna and San Blas towers and a Maritime museum. Known as a centre of Festivals in Gozo, a local Carnival is held in February of each year and a wine festival is held every late August/September. There is also a local band club a pizzeria and many restaurants. Furthermore, it is close to the coast, with Ramla Bay, arguably the best beach on Gozo, just 2 kms away, and the small coves of San Blas and Dahlet Qorrot, 3 kms away, both perfect for snorkelling.
The kitchen also opens to the pool terrace. A twin bedroom, with ceiling fan, on this level overlooks a field.
The recently converted farmhouse, with its pretty picturesque cottage façade, has been finished to a high standard. Entrance at ground floor level is into a cosy living room with 3-seater sofa and 2 chairs, and patio doors opening to the pool area. The living room is well equipped with TV, DVD and internet access.
A traditional stone staircase leads to the first floor, with a glass door opening to an open terrace/corridor, with stone wall (1 metre high) overlooking the pool area. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, one featuring the original floor tiles and ceiling beams, and all with ceiling fans. There is also a small terrace at this level, with a table and four chairs, which overlooks the pool terrace. A spiral staircase leads up to the roof, from where there are spectacular views over the island.
