This very pretty, restored 18th century Provençal house, is situated in the countryside, surrounded by fruit orchards, near Isle sur la Sorgue. The village of Velorgues, with a bakery, is about 1.5 kms away, and Velleron with a farmers’ market, every day except Sunday, during the season, is about 5 kms away. In season, it is possible to buy fresh peaches, nectarines, plums, apples, pears and fruit juices from the next door farm.
The house faces south and the main living room opens to spacious, furnished terraces for relaxing and dining outdoors, extending out to a large flat garden, with swimming pool (12 x 6m). There is a small pool house at one end for shade. The garden of one hectare is well planted with trees, and a large plot of lavender, which is stunningly beautiful from about mid June until early July. There is also a new boules court.
The spacious interiors are very attractively decorated and furnished in Provençal style, with an Asian influence reflected in the silk cushions, oriental paintings and pieces. A large entrance hall leads to the living room with original fireplace and a library at mezzanine level. The well equipped kitchen opens to a dining area, and another living room with fireplace, which opens to two terraces, one with pergola covered dining area. Amenities include television (French channels only), DVD, heating and wi-fi internet access.
