A charming house a mere 5 minutes drive from one of the Luberon’s most beautiful and best known villages, Lourmarin. Lourmarin, with an atmospheric Renaissance castle open to the public, is a quaint village situated on the southern side of the Luberon Mountains. The village was home to Nobel prize-winning writer Albert Camus and his wife who are buried in the village cemetery. The Friday market, held in the village centre, is regarded by many as the best in the region as are some of the restaurants and many small shops.
The property is in a quiet, rural location with views over the countryside to the village. Access is by an unsealed road and entrance is by electric gates. The house is surrounded by a large fenced garden, with a boules court and swimming pool (12 x 6m), set on a sunny terrace below the house.
The house has a traditional old stone exterior, but modern minimalist and stylish interior. The entrance is up a few stairs into a hallway which leads to the spacious open-plan living/dining room with fireplace and open-sided staircase to the first floor. The kitchen is open-plan to the dining area and both kitchen and dining room have French doors to the large dining patio with large table, chairs, sun umbrellas and comfortable garden furniture. There are four double bedrooms, two downstairs and two upstairs. The ground floor bedrooms share a bathroom with an Italian-styled shower and separate WC, and the first floor bedrooms share a bathroom with a bath, and WC. There is a sloping ceiling above the bath so it is not suitable for a shower, and one of the upstairs bedrooms also has a sloping ceiling. Because of the stairs in this property we do not recommend it for children under 10 years of age or for those with mobility problems

Washing machine in the garage which is accessed from inside the house.
