Situated between the picturesque villages of Bonnieux and Lourmarin, this very charming property has superb countryside views. The largest of the Luberon villages, Bonnieux, just 4 kilometres away, is also one of the loveliest, perched on a hillside overlooking the Petit Luberon. There are some wonderful scenic excursions which can be taken in this area, and many activities on offer, including hiking, cycling, climbing – or visiting the Côtes du Luberon vineyards. The property comprises a beautifully converted small farmhouse with interior courtyard and outbuildings. One of these is a ‘borie’ (ancient shepherd’s house) converted into a guest house for 2 people. This is situated across a field, accessed by a pathway (lit at night). Closer to the house is a hamman and a laundry. Just below the house, in a quiet position, is a long lap pool (15 x 3m), with surrounding terrace, and beyond this, stretches fields and woodland. Within the interior courtyard is a very pretty vine-covered dining area furnished with teak furniture, and with a barbecue. The rooms have been decorated and furnished throughout in an absolutely charming Provençal style in soft muted colours, with stone floors, antique doors and country antique furniture. Modern amenities include satellite television, video, DVD, stereo and fax machine. A baby cot is available upon request. The accommodation sleeps 6 adults, plus 2 children in the main house and an additional 2 adults in the guest house. Guests with very young children should be aware that there is an open-sided staircase in the main house, and some uneven stone steps.
