The Ile St. Louis is literally right in the heart of Paris, a small island in the middle of the Seine, and one of the most charming neighbourhoods the city has to offer. Conveniently located for sightseeing, it is a 5 minute walk to Notre Dame cathedral, Beaubourg and the Marais. It is also just a short walk from all necessary shops, services and a good selection of cafés and restaurants
The Petit Hôtel Particulier de Marigny is a stately 17th century building right on the Quai d’Anjou. Hidden behind an impressive wrought-iron gate and accessed via a triangular cobblestone courtyard, a beautiful curved stone staircase will bring you to the apartment on the 2nd floor. The floor to ceiling (soundproofed) windows in the living room allow for natural light as well as wonderful views over the Seine. At night, the poplar trees on the quay, with the lights of Bateaux Mouches passing below, provide a wonderful sight. Cream walls and curtains offset an immense antique mirror and antique crystal chandelier, Louis XVI armchairs and an armoire. In the corner of the room, by the window, there is a small antique table and two chairs, perfect for a romantic dinner while watching the view of the Seine. Amenities include cable television (international channels), stereo hi-fi system with CD player, telephone and answer machine. Entrance is by intercom device and there is also a custodian who lives in the building. This is a non-smoking apartment and pets are also not allowed.
