Blessed with a mild year round climate, a dramatic and inspiring landscape as well as perfect white sand beaches, it is so surprise that Corsica is becoming increasingly popular as a holiday destination. Local resistance has ensured that there are few resorts as such, and no high rise blocks to mar the stunning coastline.

Most of our villas are situated in the south of the island, regarded by many as the most beautiful part of Corsica. Here, huge granite peaks, pine forests and vineyards for a backdrop to the coastline of white sand beaches and the clear turquoise sea. We are very excited to be representing some beautifully renovated properties on a very special estate in the Ortolo Valley, between Bonifacio and Sartène. This huge estate encompasses over 2000 hectares of wild maquis, where flora and fauna have been preserved and wild animals roam, as well as 10 kilometres of coastline, with ten creeks and a long beach of white sand. The vast beach is partly organized with sun loungers, and partly remains natural. Activities within the estate include nature walks, hunting, wine tasting and fishing.

Within this exceptional peaceful and unspoilt environment, we have several houses to rent, ranging from ancient patrician residences to typical bergeries (shepherds’ dwellings), all renovated with great taste in a very traditional and natural style. Designed by the owner, with the assistance of architect Stephane Luccini, the houses feature chestnut parquet flooring, polished furniture, deep sofas and large fireplaces. The bedrooms are painted in ochre tones, with sanded ceiling beams and wrought iron headboards on the beds. There are three bergeries on the moor, all with small swimming pools, one sleeping 2 and two sleeping 4. There are three further houses, also with pools, two sleeping 6 and one sleeping 7. All these houses are secluded and peaceful, to an extent that you would never think there was another property nearby at all! In addition, there are two beach houses, one sleeping 12 (with pool) and one sleeping 16.


The main airport for the south of Corsica is Figari, within 30 minutes of all our properties. During the summer, there are direct charter flights to Figari. Otherwise, there are flights to both Ajaccio and Bastia from London with British Airways, and flights from Nice or Marseille. Bonifacio can also be reached by boat from Nice or Toulon, Livorno and Sardinia.
