This luxurious, brand new, architect-designed villa is situated just 4 miles from the beautiful Medieval town of Motovun. Perhaps the most famous of the Istrian hill towns, Motovun sits on a wooded hill, surrounded by fields of wheat and vineyards. The town itself is surrounded by ramparts and entrance is by gates, leading up cobbled streets to a main square with a fine Renaissance church, designed by Palladio. The town walls have recently been restored and offer a lovely 10 minute walk with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. In the last week of July, the town hosts an international film festival. The nearest village to the property is Visinada, about 1 ½ miles away, and the stunning village of Groznjan is about 3 miles. There is a restaurant less than a mile away, down the valley.
The style of the property is traditional farmhouse, built of stone and decorated and furnished in warm colours. No expense has been spared and the interiors are exquisite. There are 2 double bedrooms and 3 twin bedrooms, and one of the twin bedrooms can be made up as a double bedroom on request. The furniture is rustic Italian and the bed sheets are Egyptian cotton. Fresh towels will be provided at least twice a week. Further amenities include satellite TV, and a barbecue.
Within the landscaped garden is a swimming pool with child alarm, surrounded by a teak and stone sun deck, and furnished with classic Italian outdoor furniture. There is also croquet and table tennis. A vineyard surrounds the property, and in time, guests will be able to enjoy the property’s own wine during their stay. A high level of service is provided at the villa including a champagne reception and provisions to start off your holiday.
