A tropical island in the Indonesian archipeloago, Bali is situated between Java in the west, and Lombok and the Lesser Sunda Islands in the east. Its location, about 9 degrees south of the equator, means that Bali enjoys pleasant day temperatures between 20 to 33 degrees Celsius all year-round. It is also an easy island to explore, being just 90 kms from north to south, and around 140 kms from east to west.

The island is deservedly popular as holiday destination with its long sandy beaches, warm blue water and a picturesque landscape of green hills with terraces of rice paddies, tropical jungle, rivers and volcanoes. Guests are also attracted by the friendly, welcoming local population and Bali’s cultural heritage. The Balinese people are proud of their unique Hindu culture, which can be seen in the numerous ceremonies, festivals, temples and palaces. Gods and spirits have been an important part of Bali's daily life for hundreds of years. Gunung Agung – Bali's holy mountain – is internationally regarded as one of the eight "Chakra" points of the world.

Bali is a shopper’s paradise with its innovative textile and garment industry, and also offers locally made jewellery, handicrafts, antiques and artefacts. Its restaurants cater for all tastes, offering delicacies like Nasi Goreng and Sate Campur, as well as Chinese, Malaysian, Japanese and European dishes.

Most people live in the coastal areas in the South, and the island's largest town is Denpasar, also home to Bali’s international Airport. Most of our villas on Bali are situated in this part of the island, on the coast near Kuta, Canuggu and Seminyak. The artistic mountain village of Ubud, about one hour north of Denpasar, is also home to one of our luxury villas. Upon arrival in Denpasar, it takes just 15 to 30 minutes by car to Kuta, Legian, Sanur and Nusa Dua, and in about 50 to 60 minutes you can be in Ubud.
