This beautiful apartment is situated in the second oldest chalet in Gstaad, dating from 1657. Only 50 metres from the river, its balcony overlooks the main street of Gstaad and you will find a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops just outside your door. Extremely picturesque, the balcony itself is probably the most photographed balcony in the village!
Gstaad has for centuries provided a fascination for travellers, mountaineers and other people in search of tranquillity and privacy, and also fun within a vibrant social setting. The scenery is spectacular in both summer and winter. The village is surrounded by hiking areas and has three groups of lifts for skiing or sightseeing.
The apartment is perfect for three people. Built in 16th century pine, it has been luxuriously furnished in 16th, 17th and 18th century furniture and art. The master bedroom has a double Charles Xth mahogany sleigh bed, and the second bedroom has a single mahogany ‘directoire’ sleigh bed. Please note that, due to the age of the building, the ceiling in the living room is only 6 feet high.
