Located in the exclusive Brames enclave, Aurore sits perched over the valley with stunning views of Mont Vallon. As its name suggests, the chalet is bright and airy with light streaming in from the huge picture windows, and with expansive south-facing terraces. It is accessed by a private road with driveway and electronic barrier. The property can be booked on its own, or with its adjoining neighbour Boréale, for larger groups of up to 22 people.
One of its main attractions of this property is the fabulous heated swimming pool outside, (shared with Ski Lodge Boréale), and the chalet’s hot tub. Situated on a large south-facing terrace, the pool is kept warm, and it is a magical spot after a day on the slopes. Loved by adults and children alike, it comes with an entertaining selection of pool toys. In the evenings there are not many locations that can beat it for a barbecue prepared by the in-house chef, washed down with a glass or two of chilled champagne.
Aurore accommodates up to ten guests in five twin and double bedrooms, each with its own balcony, en-suite bathroom, telephone and plasma screen with DVD. It is furnished in contemporary style with traditional touches, blending well with more modern and iconic pieces. Vast honey-coloured timbers combine wonderfully with walls of exposed stone and the natural suedes and linens to be found throughout. The drawing room is the main focus of the interior, overlooked by a galleried study with telephone, fax and internet facilities. There is also a massage room to soothe aching muscles after skiing. As a family chalet, it offers a large selection of books, toys, games and films. Each bedroom has feather pillows and duvets, personal bathrobes and slippers, a hairdryer, and soaps, bubble baths and shampoos in the bathrooms. Further amenities include a ski room with heated boot racks, a well-stocked wine cellar, fresh flowers and daily newspapers. A chauffeured 4 x 4 is provided for getting about.

For bookings throughout the ski season, there is a staff of six, including a chef, chauffeur and maids. During peak periods in the ski season, a complimentary au pair is provided making it ideal for family groups. For summer bookings, staff is on request. |
